Tyler Brett (he/they) is a Canadian, multidisciplinary artist and musician whose practice explores the intersection of conceptual futures and alternative community-building. Their work focuses on re-imagining overlooked spaces as hubs for self-expression and creative collaboration.
Raised in British Columbia, Brett developed his foundation in visual arts at Langara College and the Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design in Vancouver, later furthering his studies at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon.
Brett’s career is defined by a commitment to community-based projects. In 2010, he co-founded the Bruno Arts Bank in Saskatchewan with his partner Kerri Reid, transforming a former bank building into an artist residency, gallery and independent music venue. He now resides on Malcolm Island, BC, within the unceded Kwakwaka’wakw territories of the ʼNa̱mǥis, Mamalilikulla and Kwakiutl Nations where he works as a community paramedic and co-director of the Sointula Art Shed.

Join us for the opening exhibition Scorpion Tongue, featuring works from our new artist roster.
Kasko Frame Works is generously hosting Doing&Doing Fine Art, supporting its mission to promote creative expression as essential to cultural health. In our experimental model, works by participating artists will rotate through Kasko Gallery @kasko_gallery , located at the front of the framing shop. Some artists’ displays will open with public exhibitions, while others will be promoted online only.
Kasko Frame Works plays an integral role in Vancouver’s art community, serving collectors, casual buyers, galleries, museums, and art fairs. 65% of artwork sales go to the artists. Anna and Dan share the remaining proceeds: Anna donates her share to local causes, while Dan reinvests his into Doing&Doing’s mission.
As practicing artists themselves, Anna and Dan are committed to meeting artists wherever they’re at— both creatively and personally.
We’re excited to support one another and help foster creative culture in Vancouver.
