The Sointula Art Shed (2013 - PRESENT) is an artist residency run by Kerri Reid and Tyler Brett, based in a cottage and repurposed work shed overlooking the Broughton Strait located in the unceded territories of the Namgis, Mamalilikala and Kwakiutl Nations. The village of Sointula was founded in 1901 by a group of Finnish socialist utopian settlers, who gave it the name Sointula, meaning "place of the chord" or "place of harmony".
